Presentation: Created in 1960 by the Professors Dr. José Manoel de Arruda Alvim Netto and Thereza Celina Diniz de Arruda Alvim, in 1984 it received the current name of ARRUDA ALVIM E THEREZA ALVIM ADVOCACIA E CONSULTORIA JURÍDICA S/C – and in 1987 the Professors Drs. Eduardo Arruda Alvim and Angélica Arruda Alvim joined the firm. ARRUDA ALVIM E THEREZA ALVIM ADVOCACIA E CONSULTORIA JURÍDICA S/C is well equipped to provide legal assistance in contentious law as well as consulting in a wide range of law practice. The main office is located in the city of Sao Paulo. The firm also has branches in Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia - DF. The firm also has office associates in the main cities throughout Brazil, and throughout the State of São Paulo. In addition, in order to better serve its clients, the firm counts with affiliate firms located in the main cities of the world. The lawyers at the main office are personally able to handle all inquiries made by the firm clients. They are available for consulting at the office, by phone, e-mail, fax and/or letter, providing clients with a complete and highly personal service. In addition to the partners, the firm also has associate lawyers and law students working on a variety of routine tasks. All jobs are centralized and controlled by state of the art computer systems, including the computers used in other associated offices. This way, clients are able to access information on the status of their cases at any time, daily. Through reports by phone, e-mail, fax and/or letter the firm is able to maintain the highest quality, efficiency and speed in the services that offers to the clients. Even the causes conducted outside the São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro offices receive the direct attention of a specialized team of lawyers from the firm. The firm library - which already holds more than twenty thousand volumes – receives, on a weekly basis, sentences from all the court houses throughout Brazil: from the Supreme Federal Court, the Superior Justice Court, and from all the Regional Federal and State Courts. These cases are catalogued and filed in the library, case by case. The firm offers a 24-hour service, including Saturday, Sundays and Statutory Holidays.
