Class action lawsuit

Donald LeBuhn from California filed class action lawsuit against Apple on iPhone 4 glass breakage

LA Weekly reported that Donald LeBuhn from California has filed class action lawsuit against the tech giant Apple. The main point raised by LeBuhn is that the company misguided its customers about the strength of the glass casing of iPhone 4 and apart from thins point he also said that company also didn't warn the customers that the normal use of this casing can be dangerous for iPhone 4.

The casing broke when the iPhone 4 accident fell from the hands of his daughter from the height of almost three feet while sending a message.

Here is the complete report from LA Weekly:

Apparently fed up and pissed off, California resident Donald LeBuhn filed a class action lawsuit earlier this week in L.A. County against Apple, claiming the company knows about the design flaw and refuses to warn consumers that "normal" use leads essentially to a broken phone. According to his lawsuit, first reported by Courthouse News Service, LeBuhn threw down $252 in September for a new iPhone 4, but three weeks later the glass broke when his daughter accidentally dropped it approximately three feet to the ground while sending a text message. He previously owned a 3GS version of the iPhone and claims the glass did not break when accidentally dropped from similar heights.

Apple claimed about this casing that it is ultra durable casing which is 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than normal plastic and it is the same material which is used in wind screen of high speed trains and helicopters.

LeBufn claimed that the company misguided their customers and failed to provide the stuff about which they claimed. LeBufn want Apple to refund the purchasing price of iPhone 4 and also pay the price which they customers paid to repair iPhone 4.

Here are the exact words by LeBufn:

"Months after selling millions of iPhone 4s, Apple has failed to warn and continues to sell this product with no warning to customers that the glass housing is defective."
