Grousing about meal
Manhattan lawyer Richatd Katz sues spa over free breakfast
A Manhattan lawyer wants over a half-million dollars from an exclusive downtown gym for failing to feed him a proper breakfast.
Personal injury attorney Richard Katz said he sued Setai Club & Spa Wall Street Tuesday after he was kicked out for complaining about the decline of the complimentary meal they bragged about.
"It was a full-blown hotel breakfast," said Katz, 53, who lives in the West Village with his wife. "I'd go to the gym in the morning, have a spa and a nice quiet breakfast and do some work — they mucked it all up."
He re-upped his membership after being told that problems with the meal were only temporary.
But 2010 was all downhill on the most-important-meal-of-the-day front, said Katz, who filed suit in Manhattan Supreme Court.
The 40 Broad Street club did not return calls for comment.
