Skinhead convicted in teen's death in Brazil
A Brazilian court has convicted a man in the death of a teen who was forced to jump from a moving train.
A district court in the interior city of Mogi das Cruzes sentenced Juliano Aparecido de Freitas to 24 years and six months in prison for the death of a teen and the attempted murder of another in December 2003.
The court said in a statement Friday night that Freitas was armed and forced the teens to jump out of the window of the moving train. The teenager who didn't die lost an arm and was a key witness in the trial.
Freitas' lawyers said they will appeal.
Freitas was with two other friends who also sported skinhead attire during the crime. They are expected to go on trial later this year.
