Embraer sells $400 mln in bonds due 2017

Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer (EMBR3.SA: Quote, Profile, Research) on Friday sold $400 million in dollar-denominated bonds maturing in 2017, more than the $300 million initially offered, one of the lead managers of the deal said.

The bond, which carries a 6.375 percent coupon, was priced at 99.289 to yield 6.466 percent, or 168 basis points above comparable U.S. Treasury notes due on Aug. 15, 2016, according to the final pricing statement.

The deal was managed by JP Morgan and Citigroup and co-managed by Barclays.
