Brazil's National Electrical Energy Agency (Aneel) authorized on Thursday Rio de Janeiro power distributor Light to increase its rates by 13.51 percincreases include tariff adjustments ent effective Sunday.The rate related to last year's rate revision, Aneel said.

Light, a unit of France's Electricite de France (EDF) [EDF.UL], provides power to 3.41 million clients in 33 municipalities in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

Light's shares quickly climbed out of the red after the news to trade more than 1 percent higher in late afternoon trade. They were up 0.62 percent at 58.50 reais about 15 minutes before the market's close.
