Suspended Calif. Lawyer Arrested in Bank Robbery
A lawyer suspended in California for failing to pay his bar membership dues has been arrested in a recent bank robbery.
Stuart Silman, 59, of Corte Madera, is accused of making off with $22,000 in cash from a Bank of America in Marin County, according to the Contra Costa Times and the Associated Press. He was identified based on eye-witness reports of bank employees and surveillance videos, the story says.
Silman was admitted to practice in 1983, and he was suspended 11 years later.
